Varalakshmi Vratam Puja Vidhi: Step by Step

The night before

Clean the entire house, especially the puja room and the entrance. Draw a rangoli or kolam at the doorway. Many families place Lakshmi charan paduka (footprint stickers) pointing inward from the threshold — a visual invitation for the Goddess to enter, never to leave. Wash and keep ready the saree, blouse piece and ornaments you will drape on the kalasha.
